The Missing Painting is a multi-genre short student graduation film, which is being developed by MA Filmmaking students of Goldsmiths, University of London. The story incorporates social realism and fantasy as well as animation.

The story begins in an expensive London art gallery where the gallery owner, Anna, prepares for an up-coming art exhibition. She is still searching for the last painting to complete the collection. Her daughter Amelia, who is a little artist herself, accompanies her. However, at some point, Amelia disappears from the gallery setting Anna on an unexpected journey.

Although it might sound like a classic mother & daughter story, it actually carries much more. The film draws attention to social inequality, focusing mainly on the discrimination of homeless people. We never know somebody else’s story and, in fact, any number of unfortunate events could leave even the strongest person without hope, without help, and without home.
